Robot Detective (ロボット刑事) is a 1973 tokusatsu show created by Shotaro Ishinomori (Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and many more) and produced by Toei. When mysterious criminal robots start showing up and enacting the will of a secret organization known as BAD, it's up to Detective K to stop them. With the help of Shiba and Shinjo - two cops at the metropolitan police department - will Detective K be able to crack the case?
I stumbled into this show on accident while I was browsing some Kikaider-related webpages, and I figured it'd be a good first review project to tackle. I'm going in completely blind and with little experience with Showa era tokusatsu beyond Kamen Rider 1971, so please excuse any mistakes I may make.
